What we make

Good work deserves good technology.

Your organization already has its people, purpose, and way of doing things. We start with technology we've developed, then shape it together around your work and the people you serve.

The experience should feel like a natural extension of your organization.

Understanding

Help people put words to what they're experiencing.

Interactive conversations that help people name what they're experiencing, explore what's underneath, and leave with something they can take with them.

Connection

Connect the people already in your network.

Technology that identifies members who have a reason to know one another, helps your team make the introductions, and tracks what comes of them.

Work's been a lot. I keep telling everyone I'm fine.
Saying “I'm fine” on repeat can be its own kind of tired. Does this feel more like being overwhelmed, or more like not wanting to put it on anyone?

You've been holding “fine” for everyone else. Naming it is the first step.

The approach

One foundation. Different expressions.

We shape the experience around the organization using it and the people it serves. The same understanding engine underneath, shaped into a different product for each organization.

01
Start with a foundation

We bring technology we've developed. You don't have to start from scratch.

02
Make it yours

Together, we shape the experience around your organization, your approach, and your people.

03
Put it to work

The experience becomes part of what you already do.

Our technology underneath. Your identity throughout.
Privacy by default

We only collect information when there's a clear reason to.

People stay in control

People decide what to save or share. Human judgment stays part of important decisions.

Useful, not extractive

Built for what people get out of it, not how much time or data we can get from them.

Excited and intimidated on day one, that makes sense, they tend to show up together. Is it more about meeting new people, proving you belong, or something else?

Boundaries · Chapter 3 · Where it lands

Think of a moment a boundary got crossed this week. Where did it land?

I let my sister borrow money again. I said yes before I even thought about it.
I'm hearing some frustration, and maybe a sense of being overlooked. Does either of those fit, or is something else closer?
A reflection to keep

You noticed the yes arrived before you did. That noticing is where the boundary starts.

Who's making it

I've been making things for a while.

I'm Brian, founder of Worth Making Studio.

I grew up surrounded by art and conversations about molecules. Science and creativity have always coexisted for me.

I studied chemistry at Morehouse College, earned a PhD from UNC Chapel Hill, and started my career in biotech. Then I shifted and spent nearly a decade building programs for young people, helping them see new possibilities for themselves and find ways to pursue them.

Outside of work, I kept making things. A podcast, music, and helping bring my dad's art into the world. Different ways of taking something in my head and making it real. When I started building technology, it felt less like making another pivot and more like finding another medium.

Worth Making is where those parts of me come together. A place to keep creating, work alongside people doing meaningful things, and build experiences that help more people see what's possible.
